Md Ragib Shaharear is now doing his PhD in Electrical and Computer Engineering at Johns Hopkins University. Md Ragib Shaharear completed his MS in Electrical Engineering at Arizona State University, Tempe, USA. He was working at BiG Research Group and conducting research on robotics mechanical design and hardware implementation. He is a former student of Shahjalal University of Science & Technology, Sylhet-3114, Bangladesh which is a top renowned University in Bangladesh. The university is known for its pioneering research and education in the physical sciences and engineering. This is number one research university in Bangladesh. He has finished his undergraduate program B.Sc. in Electrical & Electronic Engineering (EEE). He joined at Summit Communication Limited on February 2018 as Assistant Engineer, Networking. Later on September 2018, he joined at Walton Digi-Tech Industries Limited as First Sr. Assistant Director in Cellphone Process development department. Now he is a graduate student of Department of Electrical Engineering of Arizona State University, Tempe, USA.
Mr. Ragibs specializes in Machine Learning, Biomedical Engineering, Wireless Communication, Signal Processing, Telecommunication Networks, Mechatronics, Control, Robotics, and Automation. Currently, he is researching Machine Learning, Artificial Intelligence, Bio-Inspired Robotics, and wireless communications.
He participated in different national and international robotics contests and became champion three times at national robotic contests arranged by different Bangladeshi universities and became 2nd runner up among seventeen countries at an International Robotics Challenge organized by IIT, Bombay, INDIA. He also got selected to participate in European Rover Challenge 2016 in Poland. He learned valuable professional skills such as machine learning, wireless sensor network, circuit design and programming skills from these contests.
He was president of RoboSUST a leading robotic organization of SUST working in humanoid robot research and arranged robotic contests and different technical workshops for students. He was founding member of RoboSUST and SUST_OPTIMISTIC team. He was actively involved with Bangladesh Academy of Sciences and went to different schools and colleges and gave lectures to make science popular among students. He participated in different debate competitions and achieved awards.
